Coffee Break: CBGB bands

by Anna Weggel

October 16, 2018

Today in 2006, CBGB, the legendary New York punk club credited with discovering Patti Smith and Ramones, closed after a final gig by Smith herself.

Though the club was originally named for Country, Bluegrass, and Blues, CBGB soon became a famed venue of punk rock and new wave bands.

For today's 9:30 Coffee Break, what bands and artists do you want to hear that played CBGB during its heyday (late 70s to early 80s)?
