First Aid Kit rise 16 places and hit the top for the first time with the title track from a new EP released last month. These were songs recorded at the same time as the last record 'Ruins' which came out in January, but they didn't fit the break-up theme of that album.

Your Smith is up 5 places with the first single under the new moniker for Caroline Smith. She's on tour on the West Coast right now with Rhye and then goes out with Violent Femmes!

Also up 5 places is Brandi Carlile to #7. On a trip to her home studio last year, our boss Jim McGuinn learned that she was neighbors with Mike McCreedy of Pearl Jam. Well at Austin City Limits Festival at the weekend they played the Star Spangled banner together!

Childish Gambino is inducted to our Chart Hall of Fame for the second time, for staying on for 10 weeks. His first induction was for "This Is America" which is continuing to win awards for best video of the year.

The Internet are the highest new entry at Seventeen. They just got done supporting Gorillaz and start their massive national tour here TONIGHT (Wed) at The Varsity Theater.

16 year old phenom Billie Eilish is also brand new at #18. She's sold out her entire USA tour and supports Florence and the Machine down under in January 2019.

St. Paul and the Broken Bones slip into the all important Number 19 slot this week after being on CBS Saturday Sessions. Lead singer Paul Janeway reverted from wearing his former suits to a very flamboyant sequined gown!

November 15th is when Chastity Brown will be at The Cedar Cultural Center, fresh from her European tour. She debuted this new single which enters our chart at #20, at The MN State Fair when she was our guest on The Dan Patch Park Stage for MPR Day. The harrowing story she told about the song's genesis can be found here.
