Philadelphia band Low Cut Connie — who are much loved in Minnesota — play the First Avenue Mainroom on Thursday, Nov. 1. Immediately following the show, The Current is pleased to air a new radio concept by Low Cut Connie's frontman Adam Weiner. Titled Connie Club, the program presents an hourlong mix of awesome music, in a range of styles, all selected and presented by Adam.

"Everyone is welcome at the Connie Club," Adam says. "I don't care what you do all day; I don't care where you're from; as long as you're ready to get your hair messed up."

This first installment of Connie Club features music by such artists as James Brown, Prince, Patsy Cline, Rob Base, Jackie Shane, Sade and many more, mixed by Adam Weiner himself who adds occasional commentary and even plays along once in a while on his trusty piano, Shondra.

Don't miss this fantastic hour of music hosted by one of rock and roll's most energetic and affable performers. Listen to Connie Club with host Adam Weiner on Thursday, Nov. 1, at 11 p.m. Central. Tune in, stream or download the free smartphone app.
