Today in 1977, Stevie Wonder went No. 1 on the U.S. singles chart with "I Wish", his fifth U.S. No. 1. Written and produced by Wonder, the song is from the album Songs in the Key of Life and focuses on his childhood from the 1950s into the early 1960s.

The song sings: "I wish those days could come back once more / Why did those days ever have to go?"
