FINALLY... someone hangs on to the top spot for more than one week this year! Sharon Van Etten will be playing The Mainroom on Saturday night and then our MicroShow at The Warming House on Sunday morning! If you can't make it to see her, BrooklynVegan loved her recent sold out show in NYC where apparently this song, "brought the crowd to its feet!" and they took some great pictures and video.

Local lads The Cactus Blossoms are inducted into the Chart Hall of Fame for the first time. Their new album 'Easy Way' is out March 1st and they start their tour in Bloomington, IL on March 30.

More local love, with the highest new entry at #10, being another track from the recent Bambi album from Hippo Campus. They're touring the country right now and last weekend wowed the fine folks of Oakland, CA.

Apparently Florence & the Machine debuted their new song "Moderation" at a live show in Perth, Australia late last month and then decided to release the studio version as a surprise single two weeks ago. But no surprise that it jumped straight into our chart at #16. She explained to the UK magazine NME, that it wasn't on High As Hope because she knew she wasn't writing a relationship record.

It's the very first week on our chart for the band Dorothy, at #19 appropriately during Grammy week as their producer Linda Perry was nominated, but lost out to Pharrell Williams, who obviously inspired her in the hat department!

Originally from Kenya, J.S. Ondara, who graced the stage at our recent birthday party, is now the most recent artist to fly Minnesota's flag across the country. His debut drops this Friday and he recently did a World Cafe set for NPR.

Submit your Chart Show ballot this week for a chance to win The Current's James Blake giveaway at the Palace Theatre in St. Paul, MN on March 4, 2019!
