Thanks to listener John who wrote in and reminded us that yesterday was John Hughes birthday.

Originally a writer for the satirical humor magazine National Lampoon, he went on to write and direct some of the most iconic movies of the '80s and '90s including Pretty in Pink, Sixteen Candles, Weird Science, Home Alone, The Breakfast Club, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, Uncle Buck, Mr. Mom, and National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation.

A central part of many of these films is the soundtrack. Whether it's Simple Minds' "Don't You (Forget About Me)" from The Breakfast Club, or Kate Bush's "This Woman's Work" from She's Having a Baby, it's hard to think about these movies without linking them to their quintessential soundtracks.

So for today's 9:30 Coffee Break, let's make a soundtrack to a fictional John Hughes teen movie. What songs - spanning all genres - do you want to hear?
