Lula Wiles like to shake things up a bit. The trio's new album, What Will We Do, came out in January on Smithsonian Folkways and challenges some of the age-old role-playing present in the folk music we all grew up with. The album has been getting a lot of positive reviews, and each person in Lula Wiles contributes to the songwriting.

Eleanor Buckland, Isa Burke and Mali Obomsawin met at a fiddle camp in Maine; they continued playing together while attending the Berklee College of Music in Boston, and they are currently on a whirlwind tour of the Midwest (including a show Tuesday, March 19, at 7th Street Entry in Minneapolis).

Lula Wiles stopped into the Radio Heartland studio to talk with host Mike Pengra and to play songs from the new album.
