This week's schedule
Reruns continue to take over music on TV as Labor Day approaches, but worry not! It won't be a boring week as a lot of the artists featured on the shows for this week frequent The Current's playlists. Durand Jones & The Indications— who are in the middle of their 2019 tour with their latest album American Love Call — will be on Last Call with Carson Daly on Wednesday while another Current favorite, Pete Yorn, will be on Jimmy Kimmel Live! that same day. A performance by American indie folk band The Head and The Heart will be replaying the day before on Tuesday on Jimmy Kimmel Live! as well.
The Norwegian singer/songwriter Aurora, who visited The Current's studio earlier in the year, will be on Last Call with Carson Daly on Tuesday while The Raconteurs appear on Jimmy Kimmel Live! later in the week on Friday. Rerunning from Dec 15, 2018, a performance by Miley Cyrus and British-American singer/songwriter Mark Ronson will be shown on Saturday Night Live. They are the musical guests accompanying the "Jason Bourne" movie series actor, Matt Damon.
Contrary to the reruns are two new tapings for Austin City Limits which include live performances by the jazzy duo Black Pumas on Wednesday and Canadian country singer Colter Wall on Friday.
