1. Today in 1963, Civil Rights marchers gathered in Washington, D.C., and heard Martin Luther King, Jr. deliver his famous "I Have A Dream" speech.
2. Today in 1993, Billy Joel started a three-week run at No. 1 on the U.S. album chart with River Of Dreams.
3. Today in 2005, Green Day cleaned up at the MTV Awards, winning seven awards including Video of the Year for "Boulevard of Broken Dreams" and the Viewer's Choice Award.
