You'd think Lizzo had won all the awards on Monday at The MTV Music Video Awards, but actually she won...none! She did however see one of her mentors Missy Elliott finally get the Vanguard Award and she stayed at our #1.

Their USA tour starts next week in Washington DC and Of Monsters and Men will be at Surly Brewing on the 14th. They climbed fifteen places this week to number two.

Also a big upward move for HAIM, 11 places to #3. Still no news on a full album and they have no more tour dates planned for this year yet, so let's go back to 2014 and re-visit an in-studio they did with us, talking about their love of Prince and the USA Women's soccer team!

Remember if you're out at the Fair to look for Dessa's new ice cream flavor, which will be at Izzy's after the Fair! And if you're going to be there on Sunday or Monday you can see Dessa herself, up one to five this week, for free!

They're back, after a weeks hiatus, with "I'll Be Back, Someday" and Tegan and Sara will be back in St. Paul on Oct 13th at The Fitzgerald Theater supporting their new album and memoir. The tour starts next month in NYC and LA.

The rather strange introduction song to the new concept album from The Flaming Lips is the highest new entry. It features Mick Jones from The Clash, wonder if he'll join them when they play London next week? They're also at Riot Fest this year in Chicago on September 13.

Mac Wilson has the interesting theory that the new Sleater-Kinney, our Album of the Week, back in at 14, "seems destined to wind up on future lists of 'Albums That Were Underrated At The Time'".

A new album is promised before the end of the year from DJ Shadow, and the lead single comes in at nineteen. It features some of his heroes De La Soul, who have also been silent for a while, locked in a battle with their label.

I've never been on a cruise ship and it's not on my bucket list, but if Belle and Sebastian plan another I think it would be worth a trip! They had the rest of the Buzzcocks onboard so they played their hits with Stuart and others taking vocal duties celebrating the life of Pete Shelley who passed away late last year.

Submit your Chart Show ballot this week for a chance to win tickets to The Head and the Heart at The Armory on September 18, 2019.
