This week's schedule

It's a suspenseful week for music on TV as "mystery musical guests" are to be on Jimmy Kimmel Live! from Tuesday to Thursday in addition to many new showings of performances from artists who visited The Current studios a long time ago. These include indie pop band Vampire Weekend on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert (Wednesday), American alternative blues band Houndmouth on Last Call with Carson Daly and rock band The Hold Steady on Late Night with Seth Meyers (Tuesday), and BANKS on Late Show with Stephen Colbert (Monday).

Other notable showings this week are Monday performances by Trisha Yearwood on Jimmy Kimmel Live! and Sheryl Crow — who declared that her 11th album Threads will be her last — with Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter Jason Isbell on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. Wednesday will have artists like Iggy Pop on Jimmy Fallon, Mika on Late Night with Seth Meyers and edgy pop rock band 5 Seconds of Summer on The Late Late Show with James Corden.

Country singer/songwriter Thomas Rhett performs on an encore Saturday Night Live to accompany comedian John Mulaney while this week's Austin City Limits showing on Sunday will be a rerun of Chris Stapleton and Turnpike Troubadours from Feb 17 of last year.
