There's just some kind of special glow about Them Coulee Boys. They're the kind of guys that you instantly want to hang out with. It was all I could do to keep from hopping into their van and heading out on the open road with them.

We had the pleasure of hosting a session with Them Coulee Boys in the studio this week so we could talk about their new record, Die Happy, which came out in August and was recorded at the legendary Pachyderm Studio in Cannon Falls, Minn., with Dave Simonett (Trampled By Turtles, Dead Man Winter) in the producer's chair. Them Coulee Boys drove over from Eau Claire, Wis., to do a quick session here, but it turned into a three-hour event because they were so fun to hang out with! (Maybe I should have made a pot of decaf instead??)
