Help power up our Power Pop episode of Teenage Kicks
October 26, 2019

Next week (Saturday, Nov. 2) on Teenage Kicks, we go all the way — with two full hours devoted to power pop. It's the 40th anniversary of Cheap Trick's Dream Police, of The Knack storming the charts, and the era when Squeeze, the Romantics, Nick Lowe, the Only Ones, Wreckless Eric and so many more put out classics we still love today.
Power pop has been defined as "a cross between the crunching rock of the Who, the sweet melodicism of the Beatles, and the ringing guitars of the Byrds, with songs of longing and despair." That's a fine definition, but we want your input! What power-pop songs from the 'Kicks era (roughly defined as the 1960s through the 1990s) would you like to hear? Fill in the form below to help us put together a great program.
Be sure to listen to Teenage Kicks with Jim McGuinn every Saturday from 8 to 10 a.m. Central.
