Coffee Break: Public Radio Music Day
by Anna Weggel
April 16, 2020

Though we are experiencing a worldwide crisis, Jill treks into work every weekday to provide you curated playlists, news breaks, interviews with artists around the globe, and a daily opportunity to influence the music we play through the Coffee Break.
That's what's behind the spirit of Public Radio Music Day. Through difficult times, local public radio music stations band together to pay tribute to their listeners, musicians and communities, and today, we want to give a nod to bands from the cities of our public radio contemporaries.
Who are our peers? So many! We've got KEXP in Seattle, WFUV in New York, KCRW and KCSN in Los Angeles, WXPN in Philadelphia, KKXT in Dallas, Indie 102.3 in Denver, KUTX in Austin, Radio Milwaukee, and
WYEP in Pittsburgh, and of course our local peers like KFAI, KMOJ, Jazz 88-5, KAXE, Radio K, KVSC.
So for today's 9:30 Coffee Break, what bands do you want to hear that hail from the cities of our public radio peers?
