Nominations have been announced for the 2020 Americana Honors and Awards - an event that's been around since 2002 where the Americana Music Association honors distinguished members of the music community.

Many amazing artists are up for awards, including Brandi Carlile, Brittany Howard, John Prine, Tanya Tucker, Yola, The Highwomen, Black Pumas, Nathaniel Rateliff and many more.

This year's event is set to take place September 16th at Nashville's Ryman Auditorium - time will tell in what form that event takes place.

For today's 9:30 Coffee Break, what songs do you want to hear from 2020 Americana Honors and Awards nominees?

Respond with your song ideas in the comments below.

And make sure to tune in Sundays 8 - 10 am, when Bill DeVille hosts and curates the United States of Americana, which specializes in the roots-oriented side of The Current.
