Did you know there are three types of tears?

We've got emotional tears, triggered by strong feelings; basal tears, which lubricate, nourish and protect your eyes; and reflex tears, which your eyes release to flush out dust, smoke or onion fumes.

If you've been releasing more emotional tears than usual lately, you are not alone! And you're even helping yourself.

"Crying and honoring your own needs and sensitivities is a critical part of self-care and being loving with oneself, being aware of one's needs and honoring them to benefit the health of the body, mind and spirit," said Dr. Judith Orloff, a UCLA psychiatrist.

So let's have a good cry together this morning.

For today's 9:30 Coffee Break, what cry songs do you want to hear?
