Coffee Break: Anxiety
by Jill Riley and Anna Weggel
June 09, 2021
This morning, Jill had a #WellnessWednesday conversation with Dr. Shmuel Lissek, associate professor of clinical psychology at the U of M, about navigating anxiety as life returns to normal.
In terms of a strategy for navigating the social situations that we haven't had to deal with in many months, Dr. Lissek offers this advice:
"First and foremost, people should be kind and patient with themselves and others. As we resume live social interactions, we should understand that we are doing the best we can with limited information, and others are as well. We need to have sort of a generosity of spirit toward ourselves and others as we reintegrate."
So for today's 9:30 Coffee Break, what songs do you want to hear that address anxiety, have an anxious sound, or exude an anxious feeling?
