Why is today Duran Duran appreciation day? Well, that depends on who you ask. Some say it was created by YM Magazine, others say it was created by a DJ from Michigan, and others say it's because it's the anniversary of Simon Le Bon being in a near-fatal boating accident. Whatever the truth is, Duran Duran were part of the second British invasion and have sold over 100 million albums.
