With more than 600 songs on the list, this collection goes all the way from Bing Crosby and the Andrew Sisters’ 1945 collaboration up to the present. Expect to hear locals like The Replacements and Jeremy Messersmith next to Sufjan Stevens (from one of his multiple holiday albums).

There are JD McPherson’s original holiday songs and classics from Elvis. Run DMC will bring you “Christmas in Hollis,” The Killers have “Christmas in LA,” and The Rockford Mules spend “Christmas in South Dakota.” Expect to hear from Sharon Jones, Stevie Wonder, Kacey Musgraves, and even Bad Religion.

It’s a wildly eclectic mix of new originals and old classics, silly and sincere, traditional and some unestablished holiday songs that will become new traditions on The Current’s Holiday Stream.
