The world lost one of its brightest shining stars on December 31 - actor and comedian Betty White - less than three weeks before her 100th birthday.

White’s incredible career spanned seven decades but her two most iconic roles were as Sue Ann Nivens on the CBS sitcom The Mary Tyler Moore Show which ran from 1973 to 1977 and Rose Nylund on the NBC sitcom The Golden Girls which ran from 1985 to 1992.

She has won eight Emmy Awards in various categories, three American Comedy Awards, three Screen Actors Guild Awards, a Grammy Award, and in 2018, she got the Guinness World Record for working in television longer than anyone else ever has.
