Grab a calendar and your appetite. This summer is absolutely packed with events throughout Minnesota for food and beverage lovers.

June 24: Henderson Sauerkraut Days

Free kraut and free live music all weekend long. Henderson’s fermented cabbage celebration also features races, car shows and a 32-team bean bag tournament. More Info, 200 N 3rd St, Henderson

June 24: Pride Beer Dabbler at The Sculpture Garden

The 10th annual Pride Beer Babbler brings a slew of craft beer vendors, food trucks, and performers to the Sculpture Garden. Even if you don’t like beer, there’s also cider, seltzer, and a silent disco on site. More Info, 725 Vineland Pl, Minneapolis

June 25-26: Afton Strawberry Festival

Just as sweet as it sounds. Snack on fresh, locally grown strawbs while perusing the wares of 80-plus artists and vintage vendors. More Info, 3418 St. Croix Trail S, Afton

July 8-10: Wild Rice Festival

Wild Rice, known by the Anishinaabeg as Manoomin, is a sacred food staple which grows abundantly in wetlands up north. Wild River has hosted the world’s largest wild rice festival for well over 70 years, and this year’s 3-day schedule includes a pow wow, flea markets, live music, and more. July 9: Rosé Fest

Rosé all day at Kellogg Mall Park, where wine connoisseurs and commoners alike can sample a wide variety of wines. General Admission tickets get you an evening of live entertainment, 10 wine samples and a snack. More Info, 62 W Kellogg Blvd., St. Paul

July 12-13: Bean Hole Days

First, they bury the beans. Five large cast iron kettles cook overnight, to be eaten and celebrated by thousands the next day. Fill up on free beans at noon (or 1 p.m. if you’re picking up in a car), and enjoy the craft fair, kids activities and afternoon Elvis Tribute. More Info, Downtown Pequot Lakes

July 23: Hopkins Food Truck Festival

This is the first of three Uptown Food Truck Festivals — none of which actually take place in Uptown this year. For 10 hours, downtown Hopkins hosts 45-plus local food vendors and 10-plus craft beer vendors (also serving N/A options). Attendees will be serenaded by the music of Jacuzzi Puma, Starlettes Web, and Tyte Phitt. Sample some green papaya salad, paella, or perhaps a meat pie.  More Info, 902 Mainstreet, Hopkins

July 30-31: Waconia Wine Festival

A shuttle service runs between three wineries in the southwest suburb of Waconia. Each location offers up three tastings along with food and live music. More Info, Multiple Locations in Waconia

July 30: All Pints North

More than 100 Minnesotan breweries and cideries return to the shores of Lake Superior for this annual beer bonanza, now a decade old. Meander the beautiful Bayfront Park and cast a vote for best beer and the arguably more competitive award for best booth. More Info, 350 Harbor Drive, Duluth

August 4-7: RibFest

Head south for RibFest, which boasts all sorts of barbecued meat along with kid-friendly activities, and live music. The fest unfolds at Riverfront Park. More Info, 1 W Rock St., Mankato

August 6: St. Paul Food Truck Festival

Over 10 hours, St. Paul hosts 45-plus local food vendors and 10-plus craft beer vendors (also serving N/A options) at Union Depot’s Lot C, shaded by the overhead Highway 52 bridge. Attendees will be serenaded by the music of Khalia & Blackwater, Tyte Phitt and Sumo Seven. Try a PB&J burger, smoked Birria tacos, or maybe some gourmet mac and cheese. August 13: Minnesota Garlic Festival

This fun-filled and fragrant festival is designed to gather garlic lovers and support small-scale local farmers. You’ll find, of course, a lot of garlic and garlic-laden dishes, along with alcoholic beverages, kite-making, and a ceremonious bulb toss. More Info, 840 Century Ave. SW, Hutchinson

August 20: Anoka Food Truck Festival

For 10 hours, Anoka hosts 45-plus local food vendors and 10-plus craft beer vendors (also serving N/A options). Attendees will be serenaded by the music of Emily Marrs Band, Coyote Wild, and another act TBA. Nibble on offerings like a giant customizable glazed donut, a lobster roll, or perhaps a Philly cheesesteak. More Info, 2015 S 1st Ave., Anoka

August 26: Summer Beer Dabbler

St. Paul’s Summer Beer Dabbler brings big crowds and more than 400 craft beers to Harriet Island. Designated drivers enjoy a discounted ticket, N/A options, and access other on-site festivities, like local food trucks and live music. More Info, 200 Dr Justus Ohage Blvd., St. Paul

August 26-27: Barnesville Potato Days Festival

The potato stew wrestling pit and potato mud masks helped this fest win the niche recognition of “Top 9 Strangest Food Festivals in the World” according to Wanderlust Travel Magazine. Potato Days goes all out to celebrate the spud in one of the best potato-producing regions of the country. Some of the activities include: a lefse cook-off, a scavenger hunt, a potato peeling contest and a “kid’s potato scramble.” More Info, Throughout Barnesville

August 25-September 5: Minnesota State Fair

People flock from all over the Midwest to feast on the 500 unique food options offered at the great Minnesota get-together. In addition to the staples — like buttered corn cobs, melt-in-your-mouth cookies and deep-fried pickles — each year brings a new batch of creative and delectable additions.
