Oregon trio Joseph are back with a new song ahead of their next album, while Noel Gallagher and his High Flying Birds as well as Brooklyn-via-Cameroon musician Vagabon each return with new music. Meanwhile, Stephen Sanchez, Yaeji and charismatic local artist Selah C all release new songs that are sure to garner enthusiastic attention.

Joseph, “Nervous System”

Sister trio, Joseph, continue to make sweet harmony with each other. A new album is on the way, The Sun, and will be out April 28. Their new song, “Nervous System,” takes on anxiety and gives the out to take time for self care.

Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, “Easy Now”

One-half of the famous Gallagher brothers has another song with his band the High Flying Birds. The quieter of the brothers brings some Oasis vibes to 2023 with “Easy Now.”

Stephen Sanchez, “Evangeline”

Stephen Sanchez is out to prove that he isn’t a viral one-hit sensation. He’s going for a crooner, Roy Orbison-style, slow love song with his latest, “Evangeline,” which works around a sample of Bobby Goldboro's 1968 single "Honey."

Selah C, “Double Dutch”

Charismatic local performer Selah C goes all-out with the live performance: dance troupe, live horns, hype-man DJ, and special guests. But she truly is the standout with a joyful energy that can win over the opening-slot crowd.

Yaeji, “For Granted”

A “best new” artist/producer for nearly a decade now, Yaeji keeps waiting for the song that will take her to the mainstream. Maybe 2023 is the year, as she is releasing her debut record called With A  Hammer. The album will be out April 7, and the eclectic fringe artist recently put out the catchy “For Granted.”

Vagabon, “Carpenter”

For Brooklyn via Cameroon musician Vagabon, she’s finally ready for the next move on her new single, “Carpenter.” Lætitia Tamko’s latest project is about “that A-HA moment, when a lesson from the past finally clicks and you want to run and tell someone who bore witness to the old you, 'I finally get it now.'”
