For the past five weeks, The Heavy Heavy have comfortably held the top spot on The Current Chart Show, but this week they had competition from Janelle Monáe fans and just barely hung on to their No. 1 position. There was a big jump from 14 to No. 7 for Depeche Mode and their new song, “Ghosts Again.” This week Caroline Polachek’s dramatic “Sunset” goes down into the Chart Show Hall of Fame, and we welcome new sounds from Noel Gallagher, from Beck, and from Stephen Sanchez, who debuts at No. 5 with his latest, “Evangeline.”
