Lana Del Rey’s latest album, titled lengthily “Did you know that there’s a tunnel under Ocean Blvd” kicks off with a revival – transporting you to a dusty tent in some alternate California that’s still searching for its fortune. The a cappella harmonies shift into a piano driven album that is often sparse and full of negative space.

Bringing in guest features from John Batiste, SYML, Father John Misty, and long time collaborator Jack Antonoff - as well as samples of her own music and “Shimmy Shimmy Ko-Ko Bop,” a 1959 R&B hit by Little Anthony and the Imperials - this is an artful exploration from Del Rey.
