It’s been more than 20 years since the sophisti-pop duo Everything But The Girl released their last full album of earnest electronic longing. At this point Tracy Thorn and Ben Watt have been away from the band nearly as long as they were together. In the down time they continued to make and release music, but it never felt like the right time for the married couple to return to Everything But The Girl.

The pandemic changed that – the duo had time to reassess their lives and careers and began to play around with old EBTG sounds. The album is a mix of what the band is known for – the aforementioned earnest longing backed by electronic sounds - as well as some exploration into distortion and auto-tune.
