Brill Building songwriter Cynthia Weil — who died at the age of 82 on June 1, 2023 — was one of the greatest of all time. Weil, who often wrote with husband Barry Mann, is in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Songwriters Hall of Fame for her many achievements.

Between the early ‘60s and mid-’90s, Weil penned or co-wrote many well-known hits, including “You’ve Lost That Lovin’ Feelin’” (The Righteous Brothers, Dionne Warwick, Hall & Oates), “On Broadway” (The Drifters), “Walking In the Rain” (The Ronettes), “We Gotta Get Out of This Place” (The Animals), “Here You Come Again” (Dolly Parton), “He’s So Shy” (The Pointer Sisters), and countless others.
