National Best Friends Day falls each year on June 8. The celebration was developed in 1935 by the U.S. Congress, and was chosen to for people take advantage of warm weather for outdoor activities with friends.

Many, but not all, musical partnerships have come together between the best of friends. Best friends have also been a recurring theme in popular music — though sometimes these songs tell of friendships evolving for better or worse. Shout out and dedicate a song to your best friend in the comments.
