Pride Month continues with amazing events, including Pride Weekend on June 23-25. The Current is here with on-air programming and our expanded Pride playlist highlighting LGBTQ+ artists, and in-person at Loring Park as part of the Twin Cities Pride Festival.

On Saturday, June 24, and Sunday, June 25, MPR will host a booth in the blue “community organizations” section of Loring Park in Minneapolis, near the corner of 15th and Willow Streets. At the booth, we will be selling Broadcast Love T-shirts and fanny packs, and doing Pride-themed giveaways. We will also have a float in the Pride Parade on Sunday, June 25, between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. in downtown Minneapolis hosted by The Local Show host Diane.

Friday, June 23

6 a.m.-10 p.m.: Songs by LGBTQ+ artists mixed into every hour

9:30 a.m.: Pride artists Coffee Break with Jill Riley

12 p.m.: Pride-themed Tonal Recall with Jade

2 p.m.: Pride Theft of the Dial Artist Playlist featuring picks from Durand Jones, the Japanese House, and more

7 p.m.: Pride Party Anthems with Ayisha

10 p.m.-midnight: DJ Shannon Blowtorch Mix

Saturday, June 24

12 a.m.-7 a.m., 10 a.m.-7 p.m.: Songs by LGBTQ+ artists mixed into every hour

8 a.m.-10 a.m.: Pride-themed Teenage Kicks with Jessica Paxton

7 p.m.-10 p.m.: Radio Free Current Pride Edition with Barb Abney
