February 29, 2024

Today is February 29, a day that happens only once every four years to keep the usual calendar synced up with the astronomical calendar, keeping our usual cycle of seasons in check.

Given that leap years contain 366 days, the 29th of February is definitely a bonus day. If we were to look at that through a music lens, February 29 feels analogous to a bonus track — like a hidden track on a CD, or a new track that’s released as a single in the wake of an album release, or music that is included years later as a new song on an album’s deluxe reissue or on an artist’s box set.

So for today’s 9:30 Coffee Break, what songs released as bonus tracks do you want to hear?
