One of the many things we celebrate in April is International Guitar Month. Created in 1987 by two industry groups, the Guitar & Accessories Marketing Association (GAMA) and the National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM), the observance was initially conceived — as you might expect — to raise awareness of music stores and to ratchet up sales. But since that time, International Guitar Month has evolved to be a broader celebration of guitar music, guitar learning and guitar performers. With so many great songs featuring significant guitar parts, celebrating International Guitar Month is certainly something we can dig into on the radio!

So for today’s 9:30 Coffee Break, what songs that feature unforgettable guitar riffs, facemelting solos, signature guitar tone, or iconic players would you like to hear?
