The Chart Show: Sharon Van Etten's "Afterlife" goes on to Chart Show Hall of Fame
January 23, 2025

Congrats to Sharon Van Etten & the Attachment Theory and to LCD Soundsystem — both reaching 10 weeks on The Current Chart Show, which means their songs, “Afterlife” and “X-Ray Eyes,” respectively, enter the Chart Show Hall of Fame.
Meanwhile, Joy Oladokun leaps ahead of Brigitte Calls Me Baby and Fontaines D.C. to reach No. 1 with “I’d Miss The Birds” following a tour stop in Minneapolis. Tunde Adebimpe is the greatest gainer this week as his song “Magnetic” jumps from No. 17 to No. 6, while we lost a handful of songs that debuted before the new year. Minnesota favorite Ber debuts at No. 14 with her poppy new release, “Oh, To Be Cool,” four places behind Jon Batiste's genre-bending new classical-meets-blues composition “Für Elise - Batiste,” while The Dare, Cage The Elephant, and The Head and the Heart gobble up the bottom half of the table with their new song debuts.
Visit the Chart Show ballot to vote for your favorite new songs on The Current for next week’s show. When you vote, you’ll be entered for a chance to win one (1) pair of tickets to Mary J. Blige at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul on Sunday, March 16.
