On January 24, 2005, at 9 a.m., The Current began broadcasting on 89.3 FM in the Twin Cities and 88.7 FM in Rochester, Minnesota. As part of The Current’s 20th anniversary celebration, hosts Jill Riley, Nilufer Arsala, Zach McCormick, and some special guests re-created the first two hours of music played on The Current on that very first day.
