The Chart Show: Wet Leg catch the No. 1 spot
May 15, 2025

Programming Note: The Chart Show will not be heard this week as we count down the 893 Essential Songs of The Current 2005 to Now. The Chart Show will return next week at its usual time, Thursday at noon Central.
Sharon Van Etten re-enters the chart following her Mother's Day performance with the Attachment Theory at the Palace Theatre. New entries from Garbage (“There’s No Future In Optimism”) and Car Seat Headrest (“Gethsemane”) bump The Head and the Heart off the table after three weeks. Wet Leg take No. 1 with the new single, "Catch These Fists," and Lizzo rebounds back with "Love in Real Life” at No. 10. Meanwhile, the highly anticipated new single from Lorde, “What Was That,” debuts at No. 13, just behind Minnesota acts Durry and Samia who climb closer to the top 10 with “This Movie Sucks” and “Bovine Excision,” respectively.
Visit the Chart Show ballot to vote for your favorite new songs on The Current for next week’s show. When you vote, you’ll be entered for a chance to win one (1) pair of tickets to Trampled by Turtles at Bayfront Festival Park in Duluth on Saturday, July 5.
