Multidisciplinary performer, artist, and musician Dessa made a triumphant return to Orchestra Hall in Minneapolis for two concerts with the Minnesota Orchestra. Coming on the heels of the release of her two-song, 7-inch EP, Tough Call, Camelot, the performances took place Friday, Nov. 7, and Saturday, Nov. 8.

Saturday’s show featured two sets with Dessa backed by vocalists Aviva Jaye, Cameron Kinghorn, Matthew Santos and Aby Wolf; vocalist/saxophonist Joshua Williams; bassist Ian Allison; and drummer Joey Van Phillips. The Minnesota Orchestra, led by conductor Sarah Hicks, filled out the songs with rich, enveloping arrangements.
