The Grammy-nominated R&B star Leon Thomas brought his Mutts Don’t Heel tour to Minneapolis on Saturday, Dec. 6. The show was in support of HEEL, the deluxe version of his second studio album, MUTT. New Orleans singer Ambré was the opening act.

Throughout the night, New York-born Thomas showed off his chops on guitar, drums, and bass, mixing in rock-heavy breakdowns of his songs. All the while, a giant Leon Thomas-shaped disco ball head hung over the stage. When he asked the crowd to bark, people were happy to oblige. He expressed sincere gratitude for the six Grammy nominations this year, and wrapped up by performing his monster hit, “MUTT.”
