The smoke lifted, and the third year of the Minnesota Yacht Club Festival got underway on Friday, July 19, at Harriet Island in St. Paul.
The early sets from a hot and sunny Friday afternoon featured Minnesota acts Night Moves and Prize Horse, as well as Boston rocker Pat Kennedy and Marcy Playground of "Sex and Candy" fame. Highlights from later on included the Black Keys, the Fray, Dashboard Confessional, and Shakey Graves. Friday night’s final sets featured the Lumineers and Mt. Joy.
