The Time Machine makes a stop in 1998 this time, the year of the massive-selling album, The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill. Fatboy Slim made his breakthrough. Neutral Milk Hotel made an indie-rock masterpiece. The Twin Cities band Semisonic made "Closing Time" popular. Goo Goo Dolls had the year's biggest hit. Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls pulled off their second three-peat of the decade, and after nine seasons, "Seinfeld" ended. It's 1998, our year on this episode of Time Machine.
