From 1986 to the late '90s and beyond, MTV's former Sunday-night program 120 Minutes brought us the songs and bands you couldn't hear anywhere else, except for maybe college radio and a few awesome alt-rock stations around the country. For many of us music heads it was a not-to-miss program, and for some of us -- Jake Rudh included -- it was a stick-the-VHS-tape-in-the-VCR-and-hit-record show.
