This seems to be a big year for Dark Dark Dark. At the time of recording this session with the quintet, they were about to jet off that night to Iowa City, the first date on their 2012 tour that will lead them across the States, to Australia, Europe and back again.

Rare Earth was on the Motown Records subsidiary label called Rare Earth. They had hits covering Motown songs, but didn't really achieve that same success when they recorded original material.
