Saturday, April 13, is Record Store Day 2019. In the run-up to the nationwide blitz on record stores, The Current's Music News checked in with record-store operators at five locations across the country to learn their perspectives on the biggest day of the year.

Tomorrow is Record Store Day, an annual event to celebrate the culture of the independently owned record stores. Record Store Day is coming up this Saturday, so Jay and Jade each pick their favorite releases vinyl (and cassette) fans will be able to get their hands on. Also, we talk with Record Store Day co-founder Carrie Colliton, who talks about how the event got started and shares some of her favorite RSD memories.
