On this United States of Americana I featured a couple songs from Buddy Holly and a tune from the Big Bopper, both perished in a plane crash near Clear Lake Iowa. Young singer Ritchie Valens and the planes pilot also died. The crash became known as “the day the music died,” immortalized in song by Don Mclean.

I played new songs by Phosphorescent, Alex Jordan, Waxahatchee & we caught a couple tunes from Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit, who perform at the Palace on March 2 & 3!
