The Current's Mark Wheat shares some of his favorite recollections from the past 10 years at the station.

Highlights of the last 10 years at The Current are for me, innumerable, seriously beyond my wildest dreams. I love doing what we do every day on the air, so to get to do that for so long for such a supportive audience is huge.

I also love going out on stage, so: Semisonic at the State Fair Grandstand under a full moon; Doomtree at Rock The Garden, when I bounced higher than I ever have before (thanks for that gif!); and watching Cloud Cult at our 8th Birthday play a set of The Current-related tunes. All of those stand out for me.

But all those things wouldn't mean a thing if it wasn't for our audience. Relating to them in the way we do every day on the radio or in person at events or on the street, at restaurants and in yoga classes of our great community, is always awesome. To see how much the station means to people through emails, especially during the Member Drive, and to hear the stories, especially of friends and families sharing their love of music with us, is a highlight that I will never get tired of. I'd give up ever walking out on a stage again as long as those personal interactions with our listeners don't stop.
