Brandi Carlile holds on to the top spot for the 5th week in total, which will put her in the Top 5 of the Best of 2018 Chart Show, which we'll air on Boxing Day, December 26. She's inducted to the Chart Hall of Fame for the 4th time and First Aid Kit are also inducted for the 7th time putting them into the Top 20 of the All Time Hall of Fame Chart, which we'll also re-publish on Boxing Day and do a rundown of it on that special 2 hour edition of The Chart Show!

Brandi Carlile was perhaps the name shared among the most of us staff at The Current, when we put together our end of year list, which we only realize when they're published to you, in fact for our Program Director Jim McGuinn, "2018 was all about Brandi."

The Cactus Blossoms are the highest new entry at #6. They're starting the New Year with a month long residency at The Turf club, every Monday night. Nice to see our local boys get some love from Rolling Stone.

The Avett Brothers return this week at seven. They will also return to Moorhead MN on May 16th, after they had to cancel in early October because of, "the freezing conditions at the outdoor amphitheater"! They may have the same problem in May!

Low are in disarray this week, tumbling from nine to seventeen, but they're riding high on The Guardian's Top 10 of the year which they release one at a time for the next week.

So it was a bad week for two of my Local Faves. Atmosphere also dropped seven places ahead of their two shows this weekend at The Palace Theater. Saturday has been sold out for awhile, but they added another on Friday. DJ Keezy, The Lioness, and Dem Atlas will get the party started.
