January 08, 2012

  Play Now [2:00:00]

Charlie Parr and his wife Emily have been singing traditional gospel songs together as long as they have been married, 18 years. Charlie has been a guest in The Current studio many times, this time he brought his wife along for the ride (the kids too, but they hung out in the control room). Charlie and Emily can be heard together on Charlie's latest album Keep Your Hands on the Plow. Recorded at Sacred Heart Music Center in Duluth and released on The House of Mercy label, the album is all traditional gospel tunes. Guests on the album include Four Mile Portage and Low's Alan Sparhawk and Mimi Parker.

Songs performed: "Gospel Plow," "Daniel In The Lion's Den," and "All The Good Times."
