The Local Show: Mid-Year Review
June 30, 2013
On this weekend's episode, we'll do our annual mid-year review of the best local releases of 2013. Chris Riemenschneider of The Star Tribune will join Local Current reporter Andrea Swensson, as well as host David Campbell, to talk about some of their favorites including new Duluth act Southwire, electronic trio VANDAAM, rising duo Haphduzn and Dimitry Killstorm and many others.
We'll also profile two major festivals happening. Bathysphere at First Avenue this weekend will provide a lot of pleasure for psych-rock fans, whereas Summer Set right across the border in Wisconsin has an electronic and hip-hop focus. In both cases, the line-ups are filled with Minnesota musicians.
