The Local Show: Back To School Edition
August 25, 2013
We're going back to school for the second time in The Local Show's history! Join us for two hours of high-schoolers taking over the airwaves as we guide you through a playlist filled with musicians who submitted their music to us.
Duluth's Jack Campbell will be our in-studio guest before he heads off to college in Chicago. He'll talk about being a modern high-school musicians vs. old-school, his brush with the Howler controversy, recording with Brett Bullion and more.
We will have Jack Kolb-Williams from Burnsville's all-ages venue The Garage take over the airwaves and play some of the space's most popular acts.
And Chadwick Phillips and Tony Simmons will tell us the history of the High-School For Recording Arts, as well as play original compositions recorded right in the classroom.
Local Current reporter Andrea Swensson will be on deck to help walk us through the music before she heads off to the Replacements reunion show in Toronto.
