In celebration of Women's History Month, this week you'll hear exclusively from some of your favorite women in the Twin Cities music scene.

You'll hear their stories about the acts who have inspired them, and you'll hear songs by influential female artists past and present.

You'll meet Desdamona, a spoken-word artist, MC, and organizer in the local hip-hop community. She'll bring in her record collection and school us on some of the best under-the-radar acts.

And then... It's time for a GRRRL PRTY.

Lizzo, Sophia Eris, and Manchita will blow the doors off the Current's studios and show us why they're the most exciting new group to blast onto the local scene.
