This week on The Local Show, we'll take you back to high school! Each fall we like to put out the call for submissions from Minnesota musicians who are still in high school, or who just graduated this past spring. We've done our homework and collected some great music. Now it's time to present our report - a full two hours of our favorite Minnesota music collected by high school musicians.

And in hour two of The Local Show, you'll meet the women in Bruise Violet, a positively delightful band whose music has been peeling paint of the walls at clubs all summer long. They dropped by the studio to perform three from their new Survival of the Prettiest EP, share their love of dogs, and remind host David Campbell that he is indeed old enough to be their dad.
