In the early 80s, a scene and a sound emerged out of LosAngeles called the Paisley Underground. It was one of the first but surely not the last time a group of artists looked to 60s psychedelia and merged it with the energy and creativity of post-punk to forge something new yet familiar. Bands like the Rain Parade, the Three O'Clock, the Bangles, Game Theory, Green on Red, and the Dream Syndicate were some of the key artists.
