You may know him at Frank Black, Black Francis or even Charles Michael Kittridge Thompson IV, but even if you don't know him as any of those, you probably do know him as the guy from the Pixies, the band that kind of kick-started the Seattle grunge boom of the '90s despite being from Boston and getting their start in the '80s. It's Frank's birthday this week; happy 53. We'll celebrate by featuring the Pixies, a band that's been together longer since they reunited than they were before they broke up the first time.
